Outlander trailer
Jul. 12th, 2008 06:31 pmRather small and rather dark but there it is
This is the film about Vikings fighting aliens that oor Soph made about three films and a TV series ago. No idea if it'll be remotely good as well as clearly demented, but it will hopefully join Wanted in the set of films I'd consider getting on DVD just to make a more on-the-money TWH credits sequence with the actors fighting with hand-to-hand weapons and stuff. And it's about Vikings fighting aliens.
Also, there's a typo in one of the title cards. :D

Mar. 1st, 2008 12:03 amCharacter Options Doctor Who Micro Universe has 32 1" miniature figures in the series. 31 of these characters are also available as 5" figures. The one character that isn't? Madame de Pompadour.
WizKids' HorrorClix Freddy Versus Jason boxed set has five new figures - Freddy, Freddy, Jason, Jason, and Freddy and Jason standing back to back. Monica Keena's character, who may not be in the title but has the most screentime and stops them both, is represented by a card token.
NECA are taunting us with a "Spring" release date for this.

Oct. 30th, 2007 05:05 pmIn the spirit of every young vampire wanting to be a detective, I just watched episode three of Moonlight. After Angel exec David Greenwalt ended his only episode with Mr. Moonlight telling our Soph "I'm a vampire", it dealt reasonably well with setting down the rules of vampirism as decided by the third group of showrunners it has - many of which will be strangely familiar, like blood mixing near death creating vampires, stakes causing paralysis rather than death and, oh yes, the term "sire".
But it did make me laugh a couple times outside this, which is an improvement.

Oct. 23rd, 2007 01:17 amAnd to celebrate catching up on The Watch House again (i.e. typing up last night) I watched the only episode of Moonlight that David Greenwalt wrote before leaving. And it wasn't bad, wouldn't have looked at all out of place in Season one of Angel oddly enough... except that Angel isn't carrying around a twenty-four-year-old PI licence and still living in the same city and using the same name. D'oh!
And in related news, want to ask Sophia Myles a question? I think that's very cool of her to do this.

M-O-O-N. That spells "Not Angel"...
Oct. 2nd, 2007 03:43 pmSo thanks to the wonders of streaming video and Taiwan's views on copyright, I have seen Moonlight. And...
( Cue annoyed ramble )
Also... could you at least have not given him Angel's car?!
