Poison Protocols and Other Histories features work inspired by a series of altered states - photos of Alamut and Dee's mirror, a Tarantella video, and a computer program that spits out a madlib every ten seconds based on Lovecraft's vocabulary. I watched it for two minutes and I just have to do something with "horrifying investigation of secrets of Green Sultan".
I think it's a pretty interesting show.

New camera!
Feb. 22nd, 2009 07:14 pmHalf as much and three times as powerful as my old camera, and slightly smaller too. Eeesh.
Ducking out of Conflagration day two early to go home and use it, over a week after buying it...
Traditional first shot is a self-portrait, which I will spare you.
Second is my redo of Milli.
Third is The Eleventh Doctor as made a couple weeks back by giving an existing Who figure mad hair and a slight kink in his nose.
On the slate next is the Conpulsion Gryphon, and made a 3:16 Trooper to mess with Gregor's mind.

Cool photo thing of the day.

I give it six weeks until we see someone using this idea in an advert.
Some shots from the Samhuinn parade, selected for relative visibility:
The Cailleach, queen of the winter
The sun of the Summer Court
The snowflake of the Winter Court
Fire swingers with green flames
Stiltwalking monsters
The jesters were bloody terrible again. I presume this is their job. Anyway, the acrobatic Red Men and Women got many more and bigger laughs through the simple method of striking suggestive poses.
The segue between normal and green fire swingers was accomplished by inexplicable ninja attack. No good pictures of green-flamey White Ninja wrestling orange-flamey Black Ninja, so you'll have to take my word for it. Still, the green flames got the biggest "ooh..." of the night.
The swordfight was a bit slow and deliberate, but the clash did raise some sparks later on. Some minor axe play, no giant flaming morningstars this time...
The Cailleach is still unnerving, as she should be.
