Stephanie Leonidas really is good as Helena.

And I've been a bloody hero for not having that Sphinx turn up in the game yet.

MirrorMask is indeed opening in the UK tomorrow. In Edinburgh it's in one cinema.

And not the one where it had its UK premiere.

Ah well.

In related news, [livejournal.com profile] innocent_man has declared me teh awesome for several minutes' worth of Photshopping involving MirrorMask's predecessor Labyrinth.

Looks like I knew about a quarter of those attending, all told. I sat with sasori and urbankat.

Mr. McKean looked rather nervous to be showing MirrorMask to an audience, and was very self-deprecating throughout the Q&A afterwards, and very pleased when people said good things about the film.

Including me. Many good things. It's spectacular, funny and touching, witty, creepy and uplifting.
