So someone offers to run Buffy on the RPGnet PBP forum and just about everyone who wants to play has abandoned one of my PBP games without so much as a "bye".

Such is the culture of PBP games, if someone actually says they're dropping out it's a rare shining example of politeness.

A Buffy game, a Doctor Who game, and I think the other was in a game that never even launched.

That's the one that wants to deconstruct the unrealistic aspects of Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

I think this is why I avoid PBP games in general. Still people just walking off must break the on going narrative somewhat.
