Ah, what would I do though?

"Hell is a city much like London -
A populous and a smoky city."
Percy Bysshe Shelley, Peter Bell The Third
London is too large and diverse a domain for any one vampire to lay claim to, so its dispersed neighbourhoods fall under one flag only nominally.
The inner city has been held against all comers by a circle of Invictus since the Blitz, and some say that those they replaced still linger in the shadows. The church of the Lance maintains its position as second estate with care, keeping the blood cults down and sidelined. Blank glass City edifices and baroque Hawksmoor churches are the houses of power, while all others must take what they can get and fight to cling to it. The witch-cults, the hunters and the dissidents have no voices that the high councils cannot ignore - but in being ignored, their gains can be overlooked as well.
And somewhere in the darkness, the Seven watch and wait.
