One agent caught in a deadly web of intrigue!

Since the original title was Amazing Adult Fantasy, the thread is possibly even more NSFW than an average Whitechapel art thread.

Spy action was my fallback after several people did pulp horror. Two different riffs on the original cover pose - Berserker doing a spider-riding barbarian king and Paul Sizer with adult fantasy as a workplace daydream which refers back to a Friends gag. Really.

So I've got a Doctor Who game saturday morning at Conpulsion, and I'm already prepping character sheets and stuff. (Yes, really!) And... well, I have three pretty good characters. And one of those is the Doctor. And one of them is a gunner, which I'm not sure is a 100% good idea for a Who adventure as I'm already envisioning him being talked down by the Doctor a lot and/or getting killed by the aliens.

But that's a necessary concern. The completely unnecessary concern is casting the other characters I do have. A female space fighter pilot and her male gunner. I want suitably X-Wing-piloty pictures if at all possible. She's quite young and idealistic, he's more grizzled and hard-bitten. And since it's running the week before Matt Smith takes a bow and it's based on an idea by RTD anyway, they have to look like they belong in the same set as David Tennant.

(Which also means no companion PC. The fighter pilot was the "companion of the week" for this story, which was nearly the 2009 Easter special before it became Planet Of The Dead instead.)

See, if Joss Whedon had made Battlestar Galactica I'm sure he'd have provided just the right people. (Yes, I'm blaming Joss Whedon for all my GM's Block problems this week. I'm sure he won't mind.)

Current frontrunner: Cally - although she may tip over into too cute for the role - and some guy from SGU.

We need more people in space fighter fatigues!

Of course, I could drop the gunner and have the Doctor and the pilot bump into four ordinary Earth persons. Or something.

Meanwhile, Buffy Versus Godzilla is ready to go. Expectation of zero players = most straightforward game idea I could find.
