ROOOOAAARRR!
Jul. 19th, 2003 04:48 pmHULK is paced a little strangely (the pre-Hulk background could have been shorter and the final battle definitely needed more foreshadowing) but is generally good stuff. It covers the reasoning behind, and an entirely rational reaction to the appearance of a dangerously superhuman monster. And it still makes him heroic.
The Hulk is impressive overall (although one of the transformations lets the side down) and as noted, his resemblance to Eric Bana is pretty creepy when we see Bana use the same expressions later on... The Crouching Tiger injoke was hilarious. The comic-style cutting and design was occasionally more Sam Raimi than Sam Raimi and the music is basically Elfman-by-numbers (and the sequence moving to the desert made it sound more lie Egypt than Nevada...) but you can't have everything.
And he doesn't actually say HULK SMASH! but he does say "puny human..." That'll do for me.
