Feb. 21st, 2003 07:13 pmThe "pilot episode" of Night Watch, the online Buffy RPG series, has now concluded with a heroic victory by and a lot of questions for the cast of PCs.
Run in RPG.net's IRC rooms by Steve Darlington, who I've met all of once, with players Whitter and Pseudo Nymh, who I've never met at all, it still felt like a game, with occasional asides and a lot of joking around - mostly in-character, due to it being Buffy.
Eric: So they're not just vampires....they're vampires for Jesus?
Miranda: They're probably immune to holy water as well as crosses... We can always hit them with the bottles, I suppose...
It fuelled ideas for my own endeavours to run Buffy, and just as importantly, it was a whole lot of fun. If this "pilot" becomes a series, I'll tune in every week.
In other gamer-ish news, I have a story in the Free Stories collection created by assorted Vampire: The Masquerade forumites. It's about as long as the introduction to DGG's 3MB sourcebook for 18th-Century Paris, and I came up with it on the deadline day after rejecting half-a-dozen more unusual ideas, but I've heard some nice things about it.
Email Eoin Corrigan and eoinco@gofree.indigo.ie to receive them.
