The Imperium is sundered, as forces flock to the two banners of the Eagle and the Throne.
Centuries-old enmities claw their way to the surface. Brother Adeptus turns against Brother Adeptus. Servants of the Machine stand apart. Guards draw fire on Astartes.
And everywhere in the former Imperium of Man, the Man of the Imperium suffers.
Long-forgotten devils emerge from the darkness as the Astronomicon gutters like a candle in a storm.
A new Golden Age and a new Dark Age both beckon.
