A well told tale or two

I finished rereading The Hobbit, after reading a chapter or two every night for a week with a great deal of smiling and some stifled laughter, along with an awareness that Gandalf now sounds a good deal more like Sir Ian McKellen than he used to. Not that this is in any way bad, of course.

I've now moved on to Artemis Fowl. Thanks Cat. More a book for wry grins, thus far at least. I like a good wry grin.
