Rejection letter fun
Oct. 28th, 2003 06:13 pmSo I received a form rejection letter from Marvel today for my EPIC proposal, dated the 24th, a good two weeks after they closed the book on EPIC.
How "form" was it? It's a smudgy photocopy addressed "Dear Marvel Fan".
I'd like to think that they rejected everything they got after a certain date sight-unseen, as that allows me to believe my work is up to par but the timing was bad. But, on the other hand, that means they didn't take ten minutes to look at something I took days to write and edit.
I'll get back on the horse and send something to their more-saleable-but-less-appealing new talent funnel, Unlimited X-Men and Unlimited Spider-Man as soon as I can find actual writers' guidelines for them but, well, damn. There goes my day.
