Tales Too Terrible

I just signed up to take part in Nocturnis attempt to create an epic Vampire chronicle on the scale of the published Giovanni and Transylvania Chronicles. Meanwhile I'm also putting together another Vampire story for a contest started on the White Wolf forums, which may be connected to the DIY Vampire Quickstart I've also been batting around ideas for. If that happens it'll be a showcase for how the Revised game should work and somewhere to point people who ask for starting adventures. At least, that's the plan.

I'm thinking maybe I should run a game of Vampire again sometime...

I'm also contemplating what to do as regards gaming this year generally. I'd like to grab players for Adventure! again, or Buffy, as well as the Vampire ideas brewing in the back of my head etc. etc.

My creative energies are on another upswing, and I need all the ways to vent them I can find. Between all the Vampire work, articles, a non-fiction book, an idea for a series of novels, something for BBC Radio's search for comedy writers, a pitch for 2000AD I've been thinking about off and on, and ideas of what to run at ConPulsion (the friendly local games con), in the last two hours online I came up with ideas for Vampire, Adventure! and Demon chronicles at the drop of a "does anyone have story ideas?" post.

Hell, if Marvel were amenable (they aren't) I'd give them the Dr. Strange idea I had last week which I could happily write for a couple years. I'd better sign off before I prattle on about that for two pages...

Well, because Mr Tinworth asked, and I'm feeling buoyed up by the forumite who asked for Demon suggestions saying he'll definitely use my ideas as the post "gave (him) the shivers just to read it"...

Apparently Marvel have a Strange revamp on ice, called Witches and featuring him as mentor to a trio of Charmed-alike reworkings of female mystic characters, and have done for a couple years now.

Sure, it'll never happen (certainly not with Dr. Strange) but this is the kind of thing I think about while switching between additions to a number of other projects.
