WereSpartacus Versus Evil Helm's Deep

Having mauled Vampire: The Masquerade, the Underworld saga has a go at Dark Ages with Rings Of The Lord... er, Rise Of The Lycans. Making a prequel makes sense since (a) the backstory seemed a whole lot more interesting than anything in the sequel and (b) it lets Bill Nighy and Michael Sheen run roughshod over the movie. (I wonder if anyone did the triple bill of this, Valkyrie and Frost/Nixon...)

Spoilers... except that this was all explained in flashback in the original. )

Being directed by a designer, the design work is all lovely, as long as you don't think about which century this is.

It also brings back series creator Kevin Grevioux as Raze, the man with The Deepest Voice In The World. Seriously, I want to see him play Barry White.

In all, not good but it looks great and is at times amusing.

Trailers: Push and a bunch of other stuff. The only other decent trailer was the new Fast And Furious where most of the trailer came from one chase scene. Not making me want to see it, but I like the one-scene trailer as a novelty of sorts.
