All the best Captains have a K-sound in their name

Kirk. Spock. McCoy. (And Scotty and Chekov. Sulu only has one in his first name, and Uhura in her original actress.) Almost every Klingon ever. Picard. Riker. Crusher. (Okay, it's not a perfect system.) Sisko. Kira. Archer has half of one. Janeway only has one in her first name, and she spells it with a Y so that doesn't count.

I don't know what this says about Gene Roddenberry (no K-sounds anywhere).

[livejournal.com profile] freakcrab is pondering rebooty actiony Star Trek and I may be up as Captain. Which leads to the second most important name (after the ship, of course). And after some deliberation I've chosen Carter.

Also, G is the important letter to have in Middle-Earth. Discuss.

Don't diss Crusher.

*Either* of them.

Don't mess with us Kathryns and our spelling. :-P

Urk.

(Having read Wil Wheaton's TNG reviews, I'll just say in my defence that he started it. ;) )

Captain Thomas Contez.

Karl, the Big Mean Captain. After he got promoted from Ensign but before he calmed down and reached Admiral, obviously.

See? See? Works.

Are you sure it isn't just alliteration?

Possibly, with it at the start of names at least. It isn't up there with the Stan Lee alliteration thing, though.

And hey, Captain Kronos was fantastic. :P

I've never seen the movie. I only know about him because of Alex's Earthdawn character of the same name.

Try not to hold that against him...
