The Great British Zombie Speed Debate

Following Dead Set, Simon Pegg put a three-page op-ed in the Guardian about how zombies should walk. Containeth Spoilage.

Today, Dead Set auteur Charlie Brooker spent more than half of his weekly column in a rebuttal. With the rest of it going to the US election. (Which means Don't Read The Comments.)

It pleases my black little heart no end that this debate can even happen.

Brilliant!

While I don't mind running zombies, and I think 28 Days later is as much a zombie film as it is an hommage to giant alien plants taking over Britain, I prefer shambling zombies and think that they work much better both as an ongoing threat and a metaphor for our fear of death.
