WFRP and DH resurrected before they even stopped publishing books

Huzzah for Fantasy Flight Games.

Since it looks like they grabbed the licence to make board and card games primarily I imagine the RPGs will be scaled down from BI's heavy-duty level of support, but the press release specifically includes supporting them.

Which is nice.

Looks good. Hopefully they will try to support the RPGs, at least publishing some new books. I expect we'll never see the other two 40K RPGs as fully-fledged standalone products, but it looks like at least Dark Heresy won't turn into one of those things you see on eBay for a squillion dollars every so often.

I don't know - I have a feeling they'll carry on supporting and releasing new RPG books. Dark Heresy was such a success that the numbers certainly make it a very viable game line plus FFG were already hiring extra staff to help them launch their upcoming D&D 4E book lines which they seem to be looking at attacking in a big way.

FFG also released more RPG books last year than some other well known RPG companies (Chaosium and R Talsorian for example) with their continued support for the Midnight d20 Setting and also the new Grimm RPG.

Combined this continued support with the Dark Heresy core book sales figures and I'd say you're pretty much guaranteed to see more books and a decent level of support for the game.
